The Montgomery County Office of Children & Youth, under Pennsylvania law, is mandated to investigate all reports of suspected abuse, neglect or dependency of children from birth to age 18 in MontgomeryCounty.
Our professional staff investigate reports made to our office and work with families, when appropriate, to address conditions which adversely affect a child’s care. Our staff work with families directly and also coordinate services with community resources to improve family conditions. In-home Services, Placement Services and Adoption Services are integral to our child protective service function.

January 9, 2012 – During the first meeting of the new year, Office of Children & Youth’s Citizens Advisory Committee Chairman, Peggy Gilbey-McMackin, recognized the hard work and significant effort of Emily Kelly, PottsgroveMiddle School student, for her donation of “Birthday Bags” to the Office of Children & Youth.
December 10, 2011 – SuperKIDS of Montgomery County, Inc. held its First Annual Holiday Luncheon Fundraiser at Outback Steakhouse in Conshohocken. The event was held to support abused and neglected children during the holiday season.
November 18, 2011 – Thanks to McNeil Johnson & Johnson in Fort Washington, PA for providing a generous donation of large Thanksgiving food baskets for families in need known to the Montgomery County Office of Children & Youth.
