The Montgomery County Office of Children & Youth, under Pennsylvania law, is mandated to investigate all reports of suspected abuse, neglect or dependency of children from birth to age 18 in MontgomeryCounty.
Our professional staff investigate reports made to our office and work with families, when appropriate, to address conditions which adversely affect a child’s care. Our staff work with families directly and also coordinate services with community resources to improve family conditions. In-home Services, Placement Services and Adoption Services are integral to our child protective service function.
Now is the time to renew our commitment to ensuring a bright future for the children and youth in foster care and celebrate all those who make a meaningful difference in their lives.
April 9, 2012 –The Montgomery County Commissioners joined together with numerous other County officials to recognize and proclaimed April as Child Abuse Prevention Month in MontgomeryCounty. In a child abuse awareness and prevention effort, County officials and community representatives held pinwheels from Prevent Child Abuse.
April 2, 2012 – In conjunction with Child Abuse Prevention Month (April), statistical data from calendar year 2011 for the Montgomery County Office of Children & Youth was presented to the agency’s Citizens Advisory Committee.
March 13 - 21, 2012 – Officials of the South East Regional Office of Children, Youth & Families conducted their annual inspection of the Montgomery County Office of Children & Youth. A full and thorough review was conducted and the Montgomery County Office of Children & Youth was found to be in compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws and regulations.
